The Significance of Parent Volunteers
Parent volunteers are the keystone to the success of our summer swim team. Donating a few hours of your time during a swim meet can aid your team reps and coaches immensely. We appreciate your cooperation to help contribute to another amazing season!
Mandatory Volunteering Requirement
One adult representative per household must volunteer for at least two meets in order to meet our mandatory volunteering requirement. Please let a coach or team rep know if you have a preference for what role you would like to participate as.
Volunteer Roles and Descriptions
Many different volunteer roles are crucial for our swim meets.
Timers:
Timers use electronic stopwatches to record times for swimmers. (Timers have the best view of the pool!)
Concessions (home meets):
One to two people will serve concessions at the front of the facility to meet attendees.
Ready Bench Coordinator:
Volunteers will assist swimmers by guiding them to their lane come time for their event.
Set Up / Tear Down:
Volunteers will assist with setting up canopies, ready benches, etc. at the beginning of the meet. In the end, these volunteers will help pack our equipment up and transport it back to our space.
Officials Information
Our officials are just as important as our parent volunteers! These people are cornerstone to the success and authenticity of meets.
Being an official and working at minimum two meets will absolve your family from other mandatory parent volunteering duties.
